Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent, professionally known as Yves Saint-Laurent, was a French fashion designer who, in 1961, founded his eponymous fashion label. He is regarded as being among the foremost fashion designers in the twentieth century.
Saint Laurent was introduced by the chief editor of Vogue to designer Christian Dior, a giant in the fashion world. "Dior fascinated me," Saint Laurent later recalled. "I couldn't speak in front of him. He taught me the basis of my art. Whatever was to happen next, I never forgot the years I spent at by his side."
Fragrance: the Yves Saint Laurent history of fragrances is punctuated by successes. Ever since the 1964 creation of «Y», more than 50 years ago, YSL Beauté has produced true olfactory sociological markers.
